The Convent Capuchin Franciscan from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century, is immersed in an ancient woodland and has been restored to the place, the building and its atmosphere. Today’s complex, work on a restoration that more than half a century and which still stands, consists of a main building on three floors which includes parts most important monuments: the old refectory and the cloister frescoes of the eighteenth century with the central well and the lancet windows of an ancient crypt. From the same structure, only one time, were divided into two small outbuildings with separate entrance. Located in the town of Montalcino, a few kilometers from the town famous for its wines, is located in a quiet location in the heart of the “Brunello” and close to centers of great cultural interest and scenic. Siena, Florence and Perugia are within walking distance. Resorts are within easy reach such as Pienza, Montepulciano, the springs of Bagno Vignoni and San Filippo, the seaside resorts of the nearby Maremma, the mountainous area of Mount Amiata and the thermal station in Chianciano.
MAIN HOUSE: The main building has three floors. The ground floor, from which you have access to the house, consists of lounge with doors leading directly to the porch, fully equipped kitchen (with access to the outside) with pantry room equipped with refrigerators and laundry, dining room, bathroom and closed cloister with a central well. With two internal stairs leads to the first floor where there are room-library with fireplace, study, double bedroom and one single room sharing a bathroom with tub and shower and a double with en suite bathroom with shower. An internal staircase leads to the second floor with a lounge, three double bedrooms served by two bathrooms with shower, one double and one single room sharing a bathroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom. ANNEX 1: It is located on the first floor and is accessed from the rear of the main house, via an external staircase. It ‘consists of a bedroom, a study of step with a single bed, a small passage with a single sofa bed and a bathroom with shower. ANNEX 2: Located on the first floor and is accessed from the rear of the main house via an external staircase. It ‘consists of a bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with a passing shower.
The villa is located in an estate of 20 hectares, 18 of which are covered with ancient woodland and the rest is olive grove, orchard and arable land. The park around the house measuring about an acre and includes a large lawn and pool area crossed by the road that leads to the chapel and the little chestnut equipped for pleasant al fresco picnics. Recent works of arrangement of the walls “dry” dividing the land into terraces, have unearthed a mask with which eighteenth-century has been recreated the old fountain.Water is the Convent of the Capuchins great wealth, more than one source goes down to the little stream that accompanies the murmur with its revivals of the guests who decide to spend their holidays this special place.
Open last Saturday of April until the first Saturday in October, the pool is located at the level of the house from which is about 40 m and is fully fenced.The shape of the pool is rectangular with measurements of 16 x 8 m and a depth ranging from a minimum of 1.20 to a maximum of 2m. The tank is lined with mosaic and is lit for the evening. Access to water is via Roman steps and ladder and the outer edge is cooked. The solarium area, furnished with beds, chairs, tables, umbrellas, is paved with terrazzo tiles resting on the grass in a natural way. The pool is equipped with a cold outdoor shower.
The Capuchin house is composed by a main structure with place for 16 people, an independent suite for two people and two apartments for 4 people of which one has to double room with a double on it’s way and a bathroom and the other one has to double room with two single rooms on it’s way and a suite for two people.
